Vandu and her family are left homeless in the “Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si” episode that aired on September 18, 2023 as a result of a dispute with Kunal. They think back on the times they spent there as they leave their home. As they cross the street, the women in the group are uneasy, and a passing motorbike startles them. Vandu tries to soothe everyone and advises them to maintain their composure.
They are already uncomfortable, and the rain only makes things worse. One of the family members, Aaji, shares her concern, saying that it is the first time she has ever been this terrified. Vandu tries to console them while guiding them on.
Bobby and Vedika, who are related to Vandu’s family, are seen fretting in the background. Bobby implores Vedika to take action to assist Vandu and her family as Vedika exhibits concern for them.
Holding hands as they proceed to walk together, Vandu and her family reflect on the priceless times they had at their now-vacant home. Thi zindagi is playing in the background, emphasising the gravity of the situation from an emotional standpoint.
Kunal observes them leaving their former home and is uncomfortable about his behaviour.
Vandu and her family are walking when an unexpected downpour hits. They are even more upset as a result, and Mrunal, a different family member, vents her annoyance. Aaji expresses similar worries and asks what they should do next.
In order to ask Vaibhav for assistance in their challenging circumstance, Vandu makes the decision to do so. She contacts him and asks him to help them by outlining the full problem. Vaibhav advises her to call his mother and explains that he is now in Pune. He suggests that she call his mother and request help. In agreement, Vandu calls his mother.
When Vandu calls Vaibhav’s mother, she apologises for phoning at a bad time, describes their situation, and asks for a place to stay for one night. Vaibhav’s mother indicates that Vaibhav is in Pune but makes the false claim that they are not at home. When Vandu asks for the house keys, Vaibhav’s mother deflects the question and cuts off the call.
Vandu proposes that Mrunal ask for support from her friends as she knows they won’t get it from Vaibhav’s family. Mrunal declines, nevertheless, out of concern for the reputation of her companions. She holds Vandu accountable for their predicament.
Vandu muses about the family’s situation as they seek cover from the storm under a shelter. While this is happening, Kunal, who had been monitoring Vandu’s family from a distance, hears Pammi yelling and immediately runs to where Kuldeep is worried.
Pammi tells Kunal that Kuldeep was taking pills with the purpose to commit suicide, but she stopped him in time. Kuldeep is comforted by Kunal, who begs him not to give up. As her family faces an unknown future, Vandu, on the other hand, continues to provide for them inside the shelter. The moment is backed by the stirring song “Ye kya kiya,” which captures the upheaval and suffering they are going through.
