Varalakshmi Tiffins Owner Drug Case

According to reports, the Hyderabad police have apprehended three individuals, including the owner of the well-known eatery, Varalakshmi Tiffins near DLF in Gachibowli, on charges of alleged drug consumption and trafficking involving substances like cocaine. The police teams are actively working to identify additional drug users who may have been supplied with illegal drugs through mobile phone conversations and WhatsApp groups linked to the eatery owner.

The prime suspect, Anuradha, who is the owner of Varalakshmi Tiffins, Prabhakar Reddy, and his associate, Venkata Shiva Sai Kumar, the owner of Palleturu Pullatlu, were taken into custody. They are accused of smuggling illegal drugs, including cocaine and MDMA, from Goa to Hyderabad on Monday. The authorities seized illegal drugs valued at Rs 14 lakhs, along with Rs 97,500 in cash, three vehicles, and five mobile phones.

Investigations revealed that Anuradha had been involved in drug-related activities in Goa for several years before shifting her focus to drug trafficking to make money. She transported drugs to Hyderabad using public transport. During this time, she crossed paths with Prabhakar and Venkata, prominent figures in the local food industry who were also involved in illegal drug consumption. The arrests were made during a planned transaction meeting at Mokila Police station limits.

The police are diligently working to identify other drug consumers supplied by Anuradha by scrutinizing her mobile phone conversations and WhatsApp groups. Additionally, authorities are seeking to uncover the identity of Anuradha’s drug source in Goa.

Anuradha had reportedly been procuring substances from Goa and distributing them to her acquaintances in Hyderabad. It is alleged that Prabhakar began consuming drugs after meeting Anuradha, and together, they decided to purchase drugs at lower rates in Goa and resell them at a higher price in Hyderabad. The police have registered a case under Sections 21, 22, and 29.
